I deal with many car...I'll agree and then some. I deal with many caregivers at shelters and see the same. On it taking years to learn how to observe dogs, that's often the case. Just remember, as little children it took us several years to begin understanding other people, and this is a similar process. Similarly, some become much better at it than others.<br /><br />So, how would you identify the skills needed? I've spoken with many people who work with dogs but, in the end, I learn far more by just watching them work for even ten minutes with the dogs.
